면도하는데 철칙은 없다.

전혀 면도를 하지 않든지, 매일 면도를 하든지 둘 중의 하나이다.

여기에는 온화한 사람, 타협을 좋아하는 사람,

양 세계를 될 수 있는 한 이용하고자 하는 호걸이 설 여지가 없다.

전혀 면도를 하지 않으면 존경을 받을 것이다.

또한, 매일 아침 규칙적으로 면도를 하면 존경을 받을 것이다.

그러나 양쪽 다 서운치 않게 하기 위하여

하루는 면도하고 다음 날은 수염을 기르려고 하면,

양 진영은 결합하여 당신을 마치 불결한 무엇인 것처럼 비난하고 공격할 것이다.


There is not an iron law of shaving.

You must either not shave at all or you must shave everyday.

Here there is no room for the moderate man, the lover of compromise,

the good-natured being who likes to make the best of both worlds.

If you do not shave at all you will be respected.

also, If you shave regularly every morning you will be respected. too

But if you attempt to strike a nice balance

and shave one day and grow a beard another,

both camps will combine to denounce you as though you were something unclean.
