작성자는 2022년 이전의 웹툰들이 황금기였다고 느낀다고 말합니다. 지금도 훌륭한 웹툰이 존재하는 것은 사실이지만, 전반적으로는 장르별 반복성이 너무 심해졌다는 인상입니다. 특히 로맨스와 액션 장르는 이야기 전개와 설정이 거의 동일한 수준까지 겹친다고 느낀다고 합니다.또한 현재의 웹툰 플랫폼은 마치 패스트패션처럼 양산형 콘텐츠 위주로 흘러가고 있으며, 이는 창작자 개인의 문제라기보다는 웹툰 플랫폼의 운영 방식 문제라고 지적합니다. 배너 홍보가 사라지고, 작품 홍보는 줄어들었으며, 번역과 해외 작품 도입도 느려져 트렌디함보다는 식상함이 먼저 느껴진다는 의견입니다.그나마 장점으로는 예전보다 작품의 전개 속도가 빨라지고, 완결이 나는 경우가 늘었다는 점을 꼽고 있습니다.
